I've only just discovered german ebm band Chrom. They started out in 2007 and released their first ep called "Manufactured" in 2008. The first album "Electroscope" was released 2010 - and I am still in the midst of the pleasant process of exploring it.
Chrom are Christian Marquis and Thomas Winters. Chris has an excellent deep voice for this kind of heavy and bassdriven music which lifts Chrom way above a lot of similar bands. No need to hide behind a lot of growling, as Chris actually can sing. Sometimes Chrom moves into electropop and still maintains a really electronic and dark sound and to me this is where they really shine. Listen to the wonderful "New Impression" with a big, big chorus. You have to wait 2:20 before this highlight really kicks off. Goose bumps. Thanks!
