The Girl & The Robot. Recommended.

► Out of nowhere comes a brand new act consisting of Plastique aus Germany and Deadbeat from Sweden. They hooked up through the internet and has just released the impressive debut album "The Beauty of Decay". One of the best of 2010 so far.
► It's a typical 'boy with synthesizers and girl with pleasant voice' act. And it's good. Really good. Reminds me a lot of the masters from Parralox but it's not as über poppy and not as smooth. The Girl & The Robot has their own quirky charme ... and a little bit of german accent. This album is getting better and better every day.
► In the video above please listen carefully from 2:55 when "I Don't Care" and from 3:40 when "Whole" takes off. Pure Pleasure Pop.
► Unfortunately TG&TR are not planning on playing live.
► Just one little aber dabei. The bandname is ridiculous and does not match the high quality of the music and lyrics in general. It could maybe be ok if it was inspired by the excellent Röyksopp song with the same name. But the band stresses that this is not the case.
