Fractured. First album from The Vanity Clause

The Vanity Clause is a british band centered around Russell Harris and Louisa Strachan. The band has been around since 2006 but just one week ago they released their debut album "Fractured". What a great debut. All self produced and self released. We the lovers of electronic pop are so lucky that people like you put so much effort into making all these beautiful sounds and songs!
Some months ago I collected all TVC's free tunes floating around the net. Some in lousy quality but nevertheless they revealed that TVC has something special and intriguing. Especially Mr Fairweathered is amazing with a bluesy feeling - like a darker and heavier edition of Yazoo.
A lot of the charm of The Vanity Clause boils down to the combination of the classic synth sounds and Louisa Strachan's intense vocal. It's soulfull, a little off beat, some times totally jazzy and sometimes closer to plain false notes, but always very interesting. Looking forward to exploring the full potential of this album in the coming weeks.
(Lifelines is the only "official" video at the moment and it's a year old and features a gentleman which has now left the band on lead vocals...)
